Field Trip!

 Students had the chance to attend a WSO concert at the Concert Hall today!

Festival du Voyageur!

 Students were treated to a pancake breakfast,

and played some Voyageur bingo!

For the afternoon, there were were indoor activities

and outdoor activities

plus a fun snack of bannock and hot chocolate!

What a fun day! Hé ho!

Happy Valentine's Day!

 6-1 celebrated Valentine's Day with...

*Valentine math: solving equations where the numbers are represented by symbols

*writing "ooh-la-la" stories using French conversation heart "candies"

*creating an agamograph art project

*reading two awesome picture books together

*checking out the valentine Mme McKenzie made for us

[The other week, each student was asked to write down a compliment about every student in the class. I compiled all of those compliments together to make a super Valentine.]

How fun to read all the anonymous compliments!

*and of course, handing out valentines!

Kindness counts!

 As part of the school-wide Kindness Challenge, students have been filling out ballots when they see a classmate being kind. 

Yesterday, a student from Room 18 was drawn as the winner!

The reward was to welcome Arbie into our class for the day! 

(Also, our class is now entered in the end-of-the-month pizza draw!)
